Fitness enthusiast: Jennifer Aniston revealed in 2014 that her preferred weight range was 100lbs to 113lbs. Now, at 49, the actress from Horrible Bosses has shared with In Style magazine her latest enjoyable method of feeling content with her weight.
Having a blast: The stunning blonde, who is currently in Italy filming Murder Mystery alongside Adam Sandler, shared with the magazine her newfound love for boxing. “Last year, I stumbled upon boxing, and I’m hooked,” said the Smartwater ambassador.
The Friends star went on to praise her trainer Leyon, whom she believes is the best. “It’s the only workout besides yoga that I’ve managed to keep up with regularly. Boxing challenges me mentally – the drills really make my brain work, it’s not like just sitting on a stationary bike. It’s truly amazing.”
She also mentioned how boxing helps her relieve any pent-up frustration. “Boxing is a fantastic outlet for releasing aggression. It’s a mental escape from all the noise you absorb every day, and allows for some cathartic moments where you can imagine punching someone…in a non-violent way, of course,” she joked. “I’m grateful it’s not actually that person, even though there may be one person in mind. It’s all good.”
More enjoyable than a run: The actress from Friends mentioned, ‘I have this amazing trainer named Leyon, who I think is the best. It’s the workout routine I’ve stuck with the most, aside from yoga. ‘There’s something about the mental challenge of boxing – the different exercises, the need for quick thinking, you’re not just stationary. It’s really incredible.’ This was observed in 2015.
Everything is going great. Boxing helps her release any frustrations she may have. She stated, “Boxing is a fantastic way to let out aggression. It allows me to mentally release all the negative things I encounter daily and have small daydreams about who I’m actually punching.” In her upcoming movie, the musical Dumplin’, she portrays a former beauty pageant contestant.
When asked if she ever participated in beauty pageants, Aniston chuckled and replied, “That’s hilarious. No way. Have you seen what I looked like as a kid? But things are changing now. This film is all about changing perceptions of beauty and society’s standards.” She expressed her support for the Miss America pageant’s decision to eliminate the swimsuit competition entirely.
The actress from Along Came Polly further commented, “A swimsuit body is simply a body in a swimsuit, regardless of its shape. It’s time to move away from the outdated idea that beauty is defined by a size 4, the perfect waist or butt size, and specific measurements. We’ve been there and done that. It’s time to evolve.”
Discussing her childhood, she mentioned her upcoming film, Dumplin’, where she portrays a former beauty pageant contestant. When asked if she had ever participated in beauty pageants herself, Aniston chuckled and responded, ‘That’s funny. No way! Have you seen what I looked like as a kid?’
During the interview, Aniston also addressed the way she has been portrayed in the media. ‘It’s truly absurd. People think I can’t maintain a relationship or that I prioritize my career over starting a family. The misconception that I am constantly heartbroken is also prevalent,’ expressed the actress.
Jennifer recently separated from Justin Theroux, and they are currently in the process of divorcing. She was previously married to Brad Pitt and has been romantically linked to Vince Vaughn and John Mayer as well.
Earlier this year, Jennifer ended her relationship with Justin. In a 2017 interview, the Wanderlust actress mentioned that people should not make assumptions about her personal life, particularly about starting a family. Despite facing criticism for not having children, she pointed out that no one knows the challenges she and her partner may have gone through, both medically and emotionally. She emphasized that there is societal pressure on women to become mothers, but maybe motherhood is not her destined path. Perhaps she has other meaningful purposes to fulfill on this planet.
Ideal job: An LA native is currently filming a Netflix movie alongside Adam Sandler in Italy. In this picture, she is with her hair and makeup team.
When it comes to dealing with the pressure of constantly being in the public eye, Aniston admitted that she does have moments of breakdowns, but she prefers to keep them private. She often finds humor in the absurd headlines that circulate about her, focusing instead on her work, friends, pets, and making a positive impact in the world.
Discussing the issue of sexism, the actress reflected on her own experiences with it in the media.
Filming: Capturing a scene featuring Adam aboard a luxurious yacht anchored along the beautiful shores of Italy.
Women are often scrutinized and compared based on their appearance and superficial qualities rather than their true worth. In Hollywood, when a relationship ends, it’s usually the woman who faces criticism and loneliness. Why is it that a divorced, childless man is never labeled as a spinster?
Regarding workplace harassment, Aniston shared that she has experienced inappropriate advances from fellow actors, but she dealt with it by removing herself from the situation. She has never been made to feel uncomfortable by someone in a position of power using it against her.
Luke Evans, at the center with Jen and Adam, praised the duo for being fantastic to work with on set. Meanwhile, the actress shared that she has faced more mistreatment from women in the industry, both verbally and energetically, based on her own encounters.
Although she did not disclose any specific names, Aniston expressed her support for the Time’s Up movement, emphasizing the importance of improving communication and listening to one another. She believes that men should also be involved in the discussion, as a united front is essential for progress.
Aniston stressed the significance of maintaining composure and understanding in conversations, referencing Michelle Obama’s quote, “When they go low, we go high.” The upcoming film, Murder Mystery, which follows a married couple as they become suspects in a billionaire’s murder, is set to be released in 2019.
