Jennifer Aniston breathed the exotic the moment she stepped on the red carpet.

The 45-year-old actress and SAG nominee defied convention – and gravity too – as she glided to the 2015 Screen Actors Awards on Sunday.

Jennifer may have lost out (again) on a best actress award for her dramatic turn in Cake, but she was a visual winner wearing a full-length gown made of a shimmery gold material that ended in a black border around her feet and featured a daringly deep-cut neckline.

An elegant body chain was all she needed to dress up that décolletage – she was also wearing a body chain at the Critics Choice Awards – while her famous gold-streaked tresses were styled straight with the slightest hint of undercurl to frame her face.

Dangling earrings peeked from her locks, while her complexion glowed with a golden tint.

Jennifer’s exquisite gown was vintage Galliano, a design she fell in love with at first sight.

‘I kind of just dropped dead for it,’ Jennifer told People. And the golden tan? ‘Courtesy of Cabo San Lucas,’ she added.

Jennifer’s friend and longtime stylist Chris McMillan added: ‘It’s couture, it’s bohemian, it’s golden like Jennifer and it was sexy… She looks California, she looks gorgeous, she looks pretty.’

Of course, Jennifer’s open-front gown competed with the plunging neckline she sported at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on January 15.

At that previous event, the former Friends star banished her girl-next-door image by wearing a sexy, form-fitting red pantsuit with no top and no brassiere either.

But Jennifer had the confidence to pull that pantsuit off, and she exuded the same edge at the SAG Awards as well.

Jennifer competed against other amazing actresses in this SAG category including Felicity Jones (The Theory Of Everything), Reese Witherspoon (Wild) and Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and Julianne Moore (Still Alice), who was crowned winner.

But she seemed not at all nervous while posing for pictures with her fiancé Justin Theroux, who looked debonair in a black suit, white shirt and dark tie.

It was Jennifer’s last shot this year at nabbing a big award as she was resolutely snubbed by the Oscars for her lead performance in Cake.

If she was disappointed that she didn’t win the SAG Award, Jennifer didn’t show it.

However, there was a moment when Jennifer seemed to lose her usual reserve, and that was when she was speaking with Meryl Streep.
